Seasonal Eye Health Checklist – Spring
Seasonal allergies can put a damper on outdoor activities. Take note of when your eyes become red, itchy or irritated, and tell us about it so we can suggest an eye drop or medication that will relieve your symptoms.
Use ice cubes for immediate relief! It may sound silly, but lying on your back with your eyes closed while holding an ice cube against your close eyelids can relieve itching and discomfort.
Upgrade Your Eyewear
Many new fashion trends become available in the spring. Visit our office to see what eyewear is in fashion this season. We carry a variety of designer eyewear brands—both prescription and non-prescription—and are certain you’ll find something that fits your style. Either stick your old prescription glasses in a jacket pocket, dresser drawer or glovebox for safe keeping. You never know when you’ll need a spare pair.
Protective Sports Eyewear
Get ready for outdoor activities this spring and summer with a new pair of sports glasses: they can enhance the colors your experience while protecting you from injuries. Next time you see a professional baseball game on TV, take note of how many players are wearing protective glasses. You might be surprised.
The warmer weather of spring and summer tend to bring out the ‘do-it-yourselfer’ in all of us, leading to home-improvement and related projects in our communities. Think about protecting your eyes with safety goggles or protective glasses before breaking out the tools or starting your next project.
We carry a wide variety of ANSI approved prescription safety glasses, but if you don’t require prescription safety goggles (or want to wear some over the top of your regular glasses), check out the local Ace Hardware and Alpine Lumber stores: both carry a variety of non-prescription safety glasses and goggles.
